Waves of water skiers descend on Rapids for state show

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Thousands descended on the Wisconsin Rapids area for the Wisconsin State Water Ski Show Championships held July 19-22 on Lake Wazeecha.

Organizers say the event is the largest water ski show tournament in the world.

The weekend’s competition welcomed 26 teams, most with 50-100 members, competing in three divisions.

The event was hosted by the Wisconsin Rapids Aqua Skiers.
