WISCONSIN RAPIDS – On Sept. 10, Marybeth Severin and Preston Seitz presented a check for $6,411.74 to the Wisconsin Rapids Public Schools to assist the district in creating a “sensory room” at Woodside Elementary. The sensory room will benefit students with autism and those with other sensory needs.
The dollars were raised from the “Danger Ride for Autism” which took place Aug. 25.
Superintendent Craig Broeren stated, “The District is very grateful for the support of our families and communities illustrated by this generous donation; this contribution will go a long way in addressing the sensory needs of our students at Woodside Elementary and throughout the District.”
