WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Students at Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids were evacuated after school officials learned of a potential bomb threat the morning of Nov. 6.
At 10 a.m., Wisconsin Rapids Public Schools Superintendent Craig Broeren released a statement informing the public that a student had admitted to the threat, but law enforcement and the district were taking extra precautions to ensure the safety of students and staff.
“At this time we do have a student who admitted to making the threat at Lincoln High School, and law enforcement does not believe the threat to be credible; however out of an abundance of caution, law enforcement is sweeping the building and following up on additional investigations for absolute certainty,” Broeren said. “All students and staff members are currently safe. We anticipate students to be able to return to class and resume normal activity soon.”
