Letter to the Editor: Thank you Wood County residents
Thanks to the diligence of Wood County residents, the recent Clean Sweep in the town of Saratoga was a success.
More than 280 vehicles delivered more than 11,100 pounds of hazardous materials for proper disposal. This is more than double the participation of recent years.
I would like to thank those who provided support to this year’s Clean Sweep. This effort could not occur without financial contributions for disposal costs from the Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection and Wood County, volunteer support from the Millidore Groundwater Guardians and Clean Green Action Team, our host the town of Saratoga, Wood County Health Department and Extension staff, and the hard working staff from Veolia.
