WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings will “Pink the Rink” on Dec. 14 to raise money for the wife of a Wood County Sheriff’s deputy.

During the home game at the South Wood County Recreation Center, against the Dells Ducks, the Riverkings will raise money to support Deputy Nathan Dean’s wife, who is currently battling breast cancer.

“This game was set up by Wood County Sheriff Shawn Becker with the goal to help his deputy’s wife (Kristin Dean) as she battles this terrible disease that has unfortunately affected many of our loved ones. We both felt that doing this game can help with some of the medical expense and bring awareness in this fight against breast cancer,” said Coach Marty Quarters.

In conjunction with the Wood County Sheriff’s Department, the Riverkings will wear one-of-a-kind pink jerseys for the occasion. The jerseys will be auctioned off after the game.

Game time is 7 p.m.
