WOOD COUNTY – Two people from Clark and Marathon counties tested positive for COVID-19, during a June 2 drive-through event in Marshfield.

The Wood County Health Department partnered with the Wisconsin National Guard to conduct the nasal-swab testing at the Marshfield Fairgrounds, where 187 people were tested and two cases from outside of north Wood County showed positive.

Meanwhile, two additional coronavirus cases have turned up in Wood County. Health Officer Sue Kunferman confirms that a local health care provider reported the positive tests. As of June 5, 2,441 Wood County residents have now been tested for COVID-19, with 12 total cases. Of those 12, three are still active cases. Eight other individuals have recovered, and there has been one death.
