For the City Times

WOOD COUNTY – The Wood County Parks and Forestry Department has opened Powers Bluff Winter Recreation Area tubing and skiing hills for use Jan. 30-31.

Hours of operation are 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Concessions and snowshoe rentals will also be available through Northward Peddle & Paddle.

“Face coverings are required indoors except while eating or drinking. There will be limited indoor seating, and we ask that groups limit the number of individuals entering while purchasing tickets, concessions, or rental equipment. Additional seating will be available outdoors,” a department release stated.

“Just a reminder that we have very limited downhill ski and snowboard rental equipment available, so please bring your own equipment if possible.

“The multi-use trail is also in great shape for snowshoers, skiers, and fat tire bikers.

Check the department’s website or Travel Wisconsin for updated opening and closing information.
