One arrested following Nekoosa shooting

NEKOOSA – A 50-year-old woman has been arresting for a March 2 shooting in Nekoosa.
On March 2, at around 11:30 p.m., the Nekoosa Police Department and Wood County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a residence on Cranmoor Road, where they found a 63-year-old man who had been shot with a firearm.
“The male was transported to a hospital for treatment from one gunshot wound,” a release from Nekoosa Police Chief Shawn Woods stated.
“A 50-year old female was taken into custody and booked into the Wood County Jail for attempted second degree intentional homicide and endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon.”
The woman, Amy Chulin-Carpenter, appeared in Wood Count Circuit Court on March 3 and was issued a $250,000 bond for attempted second degree intentional homicide and endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon.
The victim is listed in stable condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
