Armed robber holds up convenience store

WISCONSIN RAPIDS — Wood County authorities are looking for a person they say robbed a convenience store at gunpoint. The incident was reported at 8:36 p.m. on Feb. 12 at The Food Tree at Highways 34 and 66 just north of Wisconsin Rapids, in the Township of Rudolph.
According to the Wood County Sheriff’s Department, Wood County Dispatch received a call from the store clerk who said someone had entered the store with a handgun and demanded money, lottery tickets and cigarettes. The suspect fled the scene with an undetermined amount of each.
The suspect has not yet been identified or located. Investigators did obtain an image of the suspect from surveillance video. They were carrying a black bag and wearing a black mask, black and grey gloves, a hooded camouflage sweatshirt that read, “Pineland” on the front, black pants and brown shoes.
