Lincoln High Students Gain Real-World Knowledge Through “Reality Check”

‘It takes a village’ still applies in this day and age, as community members came together last week to educate Lincoln High School seniors as part of a special program.
In the three-part program called “Reality Check”, students worked with law enforcement and business professionals on an array of real-world topics. Such topics includes community round table discussions with police, financial literacy exercises and fiscal responsibility, and the current state of drug trends and how to address substance abuse in the area.
“It takes the entire community to educate our next generation of leaders,” said a WRPS news release. “A special thank you goes out to all of our volunteers – we appreciate your time and dedication in working with our students.”
