Wood County Veterans Memorial to host ceremony

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Wood County Veterans Memorial will conduct a ceremony on the lawn of the Wood County Courthouse, during which five legacy stones will be dedicated and three names will be added to the wall.
Mitchell Waite, retired Army Reserve colonel, will be the speaker. Reverend Beth Rohn-Habhegger, Craig Lambert, and Karen Schill will take part in the program.
The Lincoln High School band, along with several other students, will provide music.
The ceremony will take place May 24 at 11 a.m.
Members of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2534; Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 101; American Legion Post No. 9, 54 and 442; American Legion Riders District 8; and Disabled American Veterans 55 will provide the color guard and rifle salute.
