Grand Rapids to close portions of Lake Wazeecha

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Grand Rapids Police Department is reminding the public of the partial lake closure of Lake Wazeecha, from July 21 at 6 a.m. to July 24 at 9 p.m.
The closure will correspond with the Wisconsin State Water Ski Championships, which will take place at the Red Sands Beach, 6411 S Park Road at the lake.
Restrictions cover any recreation in the water including: boating, swimming, scuba diving, wading, fishing from a boat or shore, water skiing, and more.
The portion of the lake affected by the closure runs east of the 64th Street South boat landing, to the 80th Street South bridge, and to the northern shore of the lake. The closed area will be marked.
