Donations Needed to Make Center Reality

For the City Times

The Nekoosa Public School District has partnered with the Town of Rome to bring the forest to local students.

The district already has a school forest in Rome, though it is undeveloped. The groups are working together to make the area school and community friendly. A GoFundMe page has been started to raise $25,000 for light development to include trails and a learning center.

The new space would help students learn about survival skills, explore nature and study wildlife preservation.

To make a donation, or for more information go to www.gofundme.com/chesterforest.
