Wisconsin Rapids Weekend Rundown

Looking for something to do this weekend? 

Illuminate – Brave Women’s Ministry Conference – Feb. 26 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. & Feb. 27, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
We want to invite you to our upcoming Brave Women’s Ministry conference – Illuminate 2016. Please join us for a life-changing weekend at Christian Life Fellowship filled with incredible worship, impactful teaching, shopping for a cause, after parties, and time spent with an amazing community of women. The conference is Friday, February 26 from 7pm-9pm and Saturday, Feb. 27 from 10am-3:30pm. The cost is $45 and includes lunch onsite on Saturday. Christian Life Fellowship is located at 600 7th St. in Port Edwards.

Student Job Fair Workshop – Being Money Smart – Feb. 27 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Learn how to handle your day to day spending set a money goal for yourself, plan for unexpected expenses and make room for buying what’s most important to you. This session will be a mixture of hands on activities and resources to help you become Money Smart! Taught by Sarah Siegel, Family Living Educator for Wood County UW-Extension.

Sunday Afternoons with Anton – Sunday, Feb. 28 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

A series of five lectures and play readings of the five full-length plays by Anton Chekov. Sunday will feature “The Seagull” — This lecture is held at the Wisconsin Rapids Community Theater located at 220 3rd Ave. South in Wisconsin Rapids.

Raised Reckless — Saturday Feb. 27 from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
The musical group will perform at Octane Bar & Grill located at 9047 8th St. South in Wisconsin Rapids.

Outdoor Adventures Banquet – Feb. 26 and 27 at 6:00 p.m.

For ages 8 to adult. Doors open at 5 p.m. on both nights, and serving is at 6 p.m. There are a limited amount of tickets available. They’re available from 9 a.m. to noon, and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday at the church office. This event is located at 469 Airport Ave. in Wisconsin Rapids in the Calvary Baptist Church.
