Cranberry Blossom Festival Princesses Also Ambassadors
For the City Times
The Cranberry Blossom Festival, held Jun 16-19, is bigger than ever this year, and the Princess Presentation is tradition through the festivities.
The princesses act as ambassadors for the festival, as well as the community. They participate in a multitude of events throughout the festival, as well as other community events.
The princess for this year is Amanda Kester, and in her princess court is Amelia Kester, Jacqueline Sii, and Emily Dachel.
They were posed a series of questions regarding the Cranberry Blossom Festival and the community. When asked why they got into the program, the overwhelming responses were that of community involvement, fun, and that cranberries are “cool”. Below are more questions answered by the princess and her court.
Why would you recommend the girls take part in the princess program?
Emily: “It’s a great experience and you get to meet new people.”
Amelia: “You get to have new experiences, and it’d also great meeting new people.”
Jacqueline: “It helps you with your social skills, and it’s fun to talk to different people and share interesting cranberry facts.”
Amanda: “[It] helps you to be more involved in the community, and it’s fun to learn about community events and volunteer opportunities.”
What events did you participate in/favorite events?
