Police & Sheriff Calls for Feb. 20-22
Feb. 20
Bark Recorder: At 10:26 a.m. a man called from the 900 block of 16th St. South to report that he had been recording the barking from his neighbor’s dogs.
Surf’s Up: A call was made at 5:32 p.m. from the 2000 block of 2nd Ave. North to report a vehicle in the water.
The Clash: At 6:08 p.m. a cal was made from the the corner of Riverview Expressway and 16th St. South to report that the stop lights were flashing red.
Feb. 21
Cat Nap: At 7:52 a.m. a report was made from the 4200 block of 8th St. South regarding a person sleeping in a vehicle.
Domestic Disturbance: A call was made at 6:22 p.m. from a parking lot on the 4300 block of 8th St. South concerning an argument between multiple people. During the argument, a man had smashed out a window and left the scene.
True Blood: At 11:35 p.m. a call was made from the emergency room regarding a woman who wanted to drink her own, or someone else’s blood.
Feb. 22
Amateur Thief: A call was made from a business on the 1000 block of E. Riverview Expressway to report a man who attempted to steal a large amount of electronics. Police soon caught up with him and put the man in custody.
Walk it Off: At 6:14 p.m. a man was struck by a vehicle by the corner of 8th St. South and Pepper. The man told others nearby that he didn’t need medical attention. The striking vehicle fled the scene.
Parking Peril: A call was made from a business on the 4300 block of 8th St. South over a vehicle who sped through the parking lot only to park in a handicapped space with no sticker. The driver was issued a citation.
