Police & Sheriff Calls for April 9-11
April 9
Parked Pest: At 5:24 p.m. a call was made from the 1400 block of Monroe St. to report a man in a parked white truck blasting his music.
Smokey Conditions: At 6:21 p.m. a call was made to authorities from the 3200 block of Franklin St. about an air conditioner that when turned on, sparks would fly from it.
Counterfeit: At 8:17 p.m a call was made from the 1000 block on Airport Ave. regarding the alleged use of counterfeit money.
April 10
Whoops: At 8:10 a.m. a call was made from a business on the 1800 block of 8th St. South to report that a semi-truck had knocked down a street light.
Prowler Alert: At 3:10 p.m. a report was made concerning a man on the 2300 block of 8th St. South who was going from door to door in an attempt to open them.
Wrong Side: AT 4:11 a.m. a complaint was made from the 1200 block of Franklin St. regarding a vehicle parked on the wrong side of the road.
April 11
Cell Thief: At 1:21 p.m. a complaint was made regarding the theft of a cellular phone from a residence on the 300 block of 8th St. South.
Burnout: At 9:00 p.m. a teenager was reported to have been doing burnouts and throwing things out of his car window by the 2200 block of Wickham Ave.
Erratic Driver: A call was made last to dispatch regarding an erratic driver, driving at high speeds and crossing the center lines repeatedly in the area of 8th St. South and Griffith.
