Check out these events happening in the Wisconsin Rapids area this weekend.

Friday, May 5
The Recliners — 9:00 p.m.
-Celebrate Cinco de Mayo in style with The Recliners. They will be playing Hollyrocks on Friday night. Drink specials will be available throughout the night. Hollyrocks is located at 114 2nd St. North.

Friday, May 5
Habitat for Humanity Brat Fry – 9:30 a.m.
-Before you head out to get your fill of tequila and live music, check out the Habitat for Humanity Brat Fry, and fill up on Wisconsin’s finest brats for a good cause. This will be held at Copps Supermarket, located at 900 E. Riverview Expressway. This will run until 3:30 p.m.

Saturday, May 6
Ninth Annual “Jigsaw Run” – 9:15 a.m.
-Join the ninth annual Jigsaw Run to get last night’s partying out of your system. Registration is $25, and can be done at Cravings Coffee Shop, located at 312 8th St. South. The 6K Walk/Run will take place around Lake Wazeecha, located at 6411 South Park Rd. A special kids run will be available during the day. Saturday, May 6
Hoozel’s Grand Opening — All Day
-Check out the grand opening of Hoozel’s Tavern, formerly Bulldog’s. They will be celebrating with a live performance from Bootleg Hollar. Hoozel’s is located at 4010 Plover Rd.

Saturday, May 6
Orienteering With Compass & Map – 9:00 a.m.
-If you just want to get away from it all this weekend, head over to the Sandhill Wildlife Area for a special class on navigating with a compass and map. This is a must-know for hunters and hikers. Admission is $15. Sandhill Wildlife Area is located at 1715 County Highway X in Babcock.
