Police & Sheriff Calls for May 22-24

May 22

Boozehound: A call was made late in the afternoon from a parking lot on the 4300 block of 8th St. South to report a man walking around the area with a bottle of booze in a bag.

Racing Down Strawberry: At 8:06 p.m. a complaint was made from the area of Strawberry Ln. and 1st St. North to report yellow and blue sports cars driving recklessly.

Phantom Doorbell: At 12:48 a.m. a report was made from the 300 block of Edgewood Place regarding a person who rang their doorbell in the late hours.

May 23

Siding Vandal: A call was made from the 1500 block of Smith St. to report that someone had shot holes in the siding of the caller’s rental home.

Ghost Train: At 2:09 p.m. a call was made to report that the crossing was activated by the train tracks on 21st Ave. South and Gaynor — however, there was no train.

Tree Hugger: At 11:42 p.m. a call was made from the 2700 block of Reddin Rd. to report a red truck in the vicinity, as well as an unknown noise. The caller thought they saw someone duck into the trees.

May 24

Spry One: At 8:06 a.m. a report was made from the 2900 block of W. Grand Ave. concerning an “old man” who assaulted him.

Wrong Way: At 9:38 p.m. a call was made in the area of 7th St. South to report traffic traveling in the wrong direction.

WiFi Seeker: At 12:18 a.m. a report was made by a church on 12th St. South regarding multiple people looking into the windows. Allegedly, they were looking for a WiFi signal.
