Here is a breakdown of events happening in Wisconsin Rapids over Halloween weekend.

Friday, Oct. 27-29
Heart of Wisconsin Halloween Carnival — 12:00 p.m.
-Join the Heart of Wisconsin as they offer a safe and fun Halloween through a fall carnival held in the JC Penney parking lot. For more information on the event, check out Heart of Wisconsin to Host Fall Carnival at Rapids Mall

Friday, Oct. 27-28
Riverkings Hockey — 7:00 p.m.
Check out the Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings as they take on the Decatur Blaze at the Wood County Recreational Center on Friday and Saturday night. You can catch all the hard-hitting action at 2711 16th St. South.

Friday, Oct. 27-28
WRCT haunted House — 6:00 p.m.
-The Wisconsin Rapids Community Theatre will host their annual haunted house, now in it’s second week. For more information, check out Haunted Jailhouse to Take Over Community Theatre This Weekend 

Friday, Oct. 27-29
The Addams Family Musical — 7:00 p.m.
-Hosted by the Central Wisconsin Area Community Theatre, join America’s favorite ghoulish family in Stevens Point for a live performance of the Addams Family Musical. Multiple Wisconsin Rapids natives will be involved in the show. For more information, please check out Rapids Natives to Get Kooky With Addams Family Musical

Saturday, Oct. 28
Bow Wow Meow’s Fourth Annual Halloween Extravaganza — 11:00 a.m.
-A benefit for the South Wood County Humane Society, this event will give pet owners the opportunity to dress up their pets and join enter costume contests. Prizes will be given for best and most creative costumes. Kids activities and a photo booth will be included. A brat fry will also be on hand. 100 percent of all proceeds will go towards the humane society. Bow Wow Meow Boutique is located at 221 Lincoln St.

Saturday, Oct. 28
Historic Point Basse ‘Spirit Walk’ — 6:00 p.m.
-In it’s second week, head over to Historic Point Basse in Nekoosa for a special haunted guided tour of the property. For more information, check out Historic Point Basse to Host Haunted Spirit Walk

Saturday, Oct. 28
Halloween Party! — 9:00 p.m.
-Head over to Hollyrock’s for some adult fun, as The Third Wheels play live for Hollyrock’s annual Halloween party. Hollyrock’s is located at 114 Second St. North.

Saturday, Oct. 28
Freddie’s ‘Get Smashed’ Halloween Party — 9:00 p.m.
-Head over to Freddie’s Pub & Eatery for their annual Halloween smash. Live DJ plus awards given for best costume. Freddie’s is located at 2010 Chestnut St.

Sunday, Oct. 29
Halloween Aid “Fright for Life” benefit — 5:00 p.m.
-This annual community event will feature a bake sale, the “Dance with Pam” girls, raffles, a haunted corn maze, and much more. All proceeds will go towards 6-year-old Aleah Applebee, who is diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy-Type 1. This event is located at 820 Gaynor Ave.

Tuesday, Oct. 31
Trunk or Treat — 4:30 p.m.
-This event, hosted by the Wisconsin Rapids Police Department will offer a safe alternative to trick-or-treating, as tons of free candy will be served out of the trunks of classic and decorated police cars. Tuesday, Oct. 31
Boys & Girls Club’s “Boo Bash” — 5:00 p.m
-Hosted by the Boys & Girls Club, the second annual ‘Boo Bash’ will offer another safe alternative to the Halloween tradition. This event will include carnival games, a prize booth, a haunted maze, haunted house, and a free dinner. For more information, check out Boys & Girls Club Hosts Second Annual Boo Bash
