WISCONSIN RAPIDS — City council looked a little different on Tuesday night, as four alderpersons took an oath of office, along with the re-elected City Clerk, and Mayor Zach Vruwink.
In the only contested race, the city welcomed new District 2 Alderperson Lee Graf, who will take the place of Todd Ferkey. Longtime Alder Tom Rayome was re-elected to position of District 4 Alderperson without any opponents.
For District 6, Jake Cattanach takes over for Gregg Hepp, and in District 8, Shane Blaser returns to city government, and replaces Terry Dolan.
City Clerk Paul Przybelski was elected to his position, and Zach Vruwink officially started his fourth term as Mayor.
“I look forward to working with this council on advancing initiatives to build a stronger, more effective community for businesses and our residents,” said Vruwink to council members. “My door is always open for discussion, and I’m only a text or phone call away. I value open communication, and I hope people will take me up on it.”
Thaddius Kubisiak was elected as Council President and will also serve on Planning Commission. Lee Graf was selected to serve on Parks & Recreation, and Scott Kellogg and Jake Cattanach will serve on the Water Works and Light commission.
