Naomi M. Pierce, 82, Wisconsin Rapids, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 18, 2018, at the home of her daughter in Marshfield.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Wisconsin Rapids, where the visitation will be from 2:00 pm on Tuesday until service time. Rev. Lucas Proeber will officiate. Entombment will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery Mausoleum, Wisconsin Rapids, and her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Rembs Funeral Home, Marshfield, is assisting the family.

Naomi was born on August 29, 1935 in the Township of Sigel, Wood County, to George G. and Lillian E. (Steuck) Bautz. She attended St. John’s elementary school in Sigel and was a 1953 graduate of Lincoln High School, Wisconsin Rapids. After her education, Naomi worked at the Port Edwards Paper Mill. Later, she was employed at Schreiber Foods, Wisconsin Rapids, for over 22 years until her retirement.

She was united in marriage to Harvey F. Pierce on July 20, 1954 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa and they were married for 64 years.

Naomi enjoyed traveling in her younger years. She cherished her Faith and loved her family.

She is survived by her husband, Harvey, and their 5 children, Dale (Kathy) Pierce, Alan (Mary) Pierce, all of Wisconsin Rapids, Tami (Greg) Jackan of Marshfield, Gail (Mel) Martin of Ripon and Kim (Scott) Ahles of Wisconsin Rapids. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, Nicholas Pierce, Kat (Brad) Yanke, Ted (Andrea) Jackan, Andy Ahles, Allison (Jake) Dahlke, Jillian (Adam) Nooker, Cathleen Ahles, Jordan (fiancé – Tara Marcouex) Pierce, Eric Martin, Shane (Angie) Steltenpohl and Nate (Holly) Steltenpohl and 14 great grandchildren. She is further survived by 2 sisters, Dorothy Ubinger and Georgene (Ronald) Provost, all of Wisconsin Rapids.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather, George Hetzel, and 2 sisters, Julianne Magee and Shirley Lee.

The family wishes to thank Janet Dahlke and the staff of Ministry Home Hospice for their loving care.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be designated in her name to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
