WISCONSIN RAPIDS – A Nekoosa graduate is finding his way into the art world, as he completes his studies through the University of Wisconsin education system.

Victor Hofmeister’s sense of power, emotion, time, and anticipation in his paintings have earned the recognition of the central Wisconsin art lovers that commission him for pieces as he continues his studies.

For over three decades, Linardakis has collected great works from various artists in places like Utah, London, California, Wisconsin, Louisiana, and commissioned a few personal pieces, as well.

“What stands out about Victor Hofmeister’s work is his modern-yet-classic design. Even his monogram-style signature has the touch of a desirable ’57 Chevy,” beams Dr. Nikos. “I grew up in a scholarly and creative family that values the arts and sciences. Victor painted these as a senior in high school, he is bestowed with a gift that should be showcased. He is a great example of excellence in our young adults.”

Hofmeister was born in Appleton and grew up near Saratoga.  Victor is a Nekoosa High School graduate, and now attends the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire pursuing a bachelor of fine arts degree in graphic design.

“My favorite medium is oil pastels. Most of my paintings are done in acrylics, and my favorite subject matter is people,” explains Victor.

Rita Weiler, sole proprietor of the Chandelier Hair Boutique in a historic riverfront building of Wisconsin Rapids, also decorates her establishment and website with a mirrored Victor Hofmeister painting.

“Aspiring artists should be honored for their work. Creativity can be more meaningful and influential than people realize,” completes Rita.

Hofmeister takes commissioned works between college studies. For more on the artist, find him on Facebook.
