Margaret Joosten
Margaret B. Joosten, age 91, of Rudolph, WI died Friday, October 26, 2018 at Aspirus Riverview Hospital, Wisconsin Rapids, WI, with her loving family by her side.
Funeral Mass will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at St. Philip’s Catholic Church, Rudolph, WI. Fr. Dave Bruener will officiate. Visitation will be at St. Philip’s Church on Wednesday from 9:30-11:00 AM. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery with pallbearers being Margaret’s grandchildren. Ritchay Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Margaret was born January 19, 1927 to George and Amelia (Hornick) Pongratz. She married Raymond Joosten on August 14, 1949 at St. Philip’s Catholic Church in Rudolph, WI. He preceded her in death. She married Jesse Joosten on November 3, 1956 at St. Philip’s Catholic Church in Rudolph, WI. He preceded her in death on September 22, 2018. Margaret was a homemaker who always enjoyed her time with her family especially her grandchildren.
Margaret was a member of the St. Philip’s PCCW. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking and always enjoyed sharing those items with family and friends.
Margaret is survived by three sons, Gerald (Jill) Joosten, Wayne (Kris) Joosten and Ron (Emma) Joosten; five daughters, JoAnn (Paul) Hetze, Konnie (Richard) Schmidt, Lynn (special friend- Clarence Kitowski) Ostrowski, Kay (Steve) Zimmerman and Sally (Bob) Kilps; 18 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Raymond Joosten and Jesse Joosten; six brothers, Frank Pongratz, Andrew Pongratz, George Pongratz, Raymond Pongratz, Walter Pongratz and Jake Pongratz; and two sisters, Irene Roseno and Matilda Multerer.
