Nekoosa boys down Marshall

NEKOOSA – The Nekoosa boys basketball team hosted the Marshall Cardinals in a non-conference match up Dec. 8. Nekoosa was down at half 32-20, as Tyler Chadwick made five three-pointers in the first. The Cardinals pulled away with six more threes in the second half, taking the win 75-47.
Reuben Freeberg led the Papermakers with 13, while Jace Lobner and Dylan Bills each added 12.
Quinn Killerlain was high for Marshall with 18. Tyler Chadwick scored 17, Gabe Stewart added 12, and Cole Denniston had 11.
Nekoosa moves to 1-5 on the season, and Marshall moves to 2-4.
After the Papermakers’ game against Almond Bancroft on Dec. 11, they will face Westfield, Dec. 14, at 7 p.m. at Westfield High School.
