Denise K Blanchard, 63, of Humansville, MO passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at home surrounded by her family.

Denise was born on September 23, 1955 to Murvin Sr and Irene Homann in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. She attended Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids and graduated in 1973. She was married on June 30, 1973 to Roger Cochrane Sr at the Moravian church in Wisconsin Rapids, they were divorced in 1979.

Denise waitressed in Wisconsin Rapids for several years, which is where she met the love of her life. She married John L Blanchard on June 27, 1981 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Nekoosa, where she was a member many years. She was a volunteer for the church and school, loved cooking and crafts. She was well known for her baking abilities and for the shirts she would paint. She was a very proud mom, grandmother and recently great grandmother. Denise had a new lease on life in 2011 and enjoyed traveling, family get togethers, greeting at church and the family pets. She moved to Missouri in 2017 with her family. She valiantly fought MS for over 30 years. Her smile was contagious and she blessed so many in her life.

Denise is survived by her daughters: Tracy (Joseph) Bergeon (Humansville, MO), Samantha Blanchard ( Jason Duncan) (Camp Douglas, WI). Her Son: Roger (Karen) Cochrane (MO). Her Brothers: Chris Homann, Dennis Homann (Stevens Point, WI), Chet Homann (Wisconsin Rapids, WI) and Larry (Tricia) Homann (Rudolph, WI). Her sisters: Donna Ferkey (Wisconsin Rapids, WI) and Judith Homann (Wisconsin Rapids, WI). Her grandchildren: Hannah Bergeon, Damion (Allison Helmke) Lafortune, Darin (Tiana) LaFortune, Caden Blanchard, Dakota Martin, Logan Durham, Ariana Polys, Shayenne Jaffke. Her great-grandchildren: Abel LaFortune, Arley LaFortune and baby LaFortune due this spring. Plus, many nieces, nephews and friends.

Denise was predeceased by her parents Murvin and Irene, her step father Marvin Smazal, her husband John Blanchard, her sister Kathy Kubisiak, her brothers: Donald Homann, Roger Homann and Murvin (Homer) Homann, JR.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at the WIsconsin Rapids SDA church 611 24th St N, Wisconsin Rapids, WI. Visitation at 4:30p, Service 5:30pm with a dinner to follow. Graveside burial Wednesday morning. A memorial service will be held January 20, 2019 at the Bolivar SDA church in Bolivar, MO. Service at 5:00pm with a fellowship dinner to follow.
