Children’s author to visit Wisconsin Rapids
For the Rapids City Times
WISCONSIN RAPIDS — Children’s author and illustrator Jarrett J. Krosoczka will visit Wisconsin Rapids Feb. 5-6.
From picture books that capture the raucous behavior of exploring your creative side and letting your imagination run wild, to a graphic novel series that follows the exploits of a super-hero Lunch Lady, all 33 books Jarrett has created in just 15 years as a published author/illustrator, are infused with humor, heart, and a respect for his readers. It’s these qualities too that attracts his young readers (and listeners) to his books, from “Punk Farm” to “Platypus Police Squad: Never Say Narwhal,” and make them all perennial favorites on the bookshelves of homes, libraries, and bookstores.
Krosoczka is scheduled to visit Wisconsin Rapids on Feb. 5 at Lincoln High School’s Performing Arts Center, 1801 16th St. South, Wisconsin Rapids, at 6:30 p.m., with a book signing to follow.
On Feb. 6 Jarrett will offer two presentations to the students at the Wisconsin Rapids Area Middle School, where he will focus on his Young Adult graphic novel memoir “Hey Kiddo: How I Lost My Mother, Found My Father, and Dealt with Family Addiction.”
