A Celebration of Life memorial service will take place at Noon on Monday, January 21, 2019 at Calvary Baptist Church in Wisconsin Rapids.  Pastor Jack Austin will officiate.  Full military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post 65 – Nekoosa. Gary was born May 27, 1955 in Mauston, WI to Martin and Eldora (Clark) Cook. He was joined in marriage to Charlotte Cook on June 1, 1985.

Gary was a member of the American Legion Post 65. A talented musician, who played in many bands, he especially enjoyed teaching children to play the guitar. He had a special place in his heart for Canada, friends, family, and fellowship. He cherished the time he spent with his cousin, Dan. Gary loved hunting and fishing, especially when he was able to share these experiences with his friends and family. He was a person of faith, and lived life serving others. The legacy of Gary’s passion, for the Lord and the outdoors, will live on through all who knew him.

Gary is survived by his wife, Charlotte; his children: Jamie Cook, Corisa (David Brown) Cook, Diana (Josh) Henke, Holly Cook, and Martin (Amanda Fink) Cook; his grandchildren: Cody, Samantha, Dalton, Hailey, Alexis, Jaden, Britany, Emily, Logan, Bailey, Jordan, Dawson, Heidi, Lydia, and Avery; his siblings: Steve (Donna) Cook, Sheri Cook, and Rodney (Becky) Cook, as well as many nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Eldora Cook.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to Action Missionaire-Malian Pastoral Training c/o Calvary Baptist Church.
