Clara L. Brown, 85, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

A Life Celebration Service will take place at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 25, 2019 at Edenbrook of Wisconsin Rapids, which was her home for nearly 15 years. A private family inurnment will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery and Mausoleum at a later date. Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Center is honored to be serving the family. Clara was born January 8, 1934 in Glendive, MT to John and Emma (Eiker) Doebler. She married Kenneth Brown on June 18, 1952 in Miles City, MT. They were blessed with nearly 66 years of married life together, until his passing on June 11, 2018. Clara enjoyed several occupations, but loved her role as wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother.

Clara is survived by her children: Robert “Butch” (Natalie) Brown, Wayne (Paula) Brown, Cynthia Bunnell, Kenneth (Kim) Brown, and Alan Brown; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Frederick and Gertrude Brown; her sister-in-law, Alvina Brown; her niece and nephew, Sally Doebler and Rick Doebler; and many extended family and friends.  In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her children: Henry Joseph Brown, Dannett Lee Brown, and Danita Lee Brown; her brother and sister-in-law, Dick and Myrt Doebler; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Dorothy and Melvin Jahns, Lorraine and Lloyd Yonke, Edna and Harry Skibba, Charles Brown, and Mildred and George Brown; and her son-in-law, Harry Bunnell.

The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to the staff at Edenbrook of Wisconsin Rapids for their extraordinary compassion and care shown to Clara.
