Kenneth J. Sisley, 84, of Wisconsin Rapids, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Endenbrook of Wisconsin Rapids.

 

A memorial service will take place at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, February 8, 2019 at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Pastor Jonathan Petzold will officiate. Full military honors will be conducted by American Legion Post 442. Inurnment will take place at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date. A time for family and friends to share memories of Kenneth will take place on Friday, February 8, 2019 from Noon until the time of the service at 1:00 P.M. ALL EVENTS WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE CHURCH.  Herman-Taylor Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the Sisley family.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.taylorfuneralhome.net.

 

Kenneth was born November 16, 1934 in Phelps, WI to Jay and Gladys (Buss) Sisley. He graduated from Phelps High School, and then went on to serve our country in the United States Army from 1953 – 1956. When he returned to Wisconsin, he went to work at Consowald for the next 32 years.

 

On May 21, 1960, Kenneth married the love of his life, Charleen Stolp. They had two wonderful sons, Todd and Troy, who Kenneth was so very proud of. Kenneth and Charleen loved to go to their place in Hayward, WI where they enjoyed fishing. They went on many trips, and especially loved Branson, MO. He was a fan of NASCAR, watching Packer games, and going out West.

 

Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Charleen; his son, Troy Sisley; his grandchildren: Jonathan Sisley and Jennifer Sisley; and special friend, Randy Woodard.  In addition to his parents, Kenneth is preceded in death by his son, Todd Sisley, and his daughter-in-law, Tina (Weier) Sisley.

 

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staffs of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services and Edenbrook of Wisconsin Rapids, for all of their love, compassion and support shown to Kenneth.
