Straight out of a horror movie
On Jan. 7 at 5 a.m., it was reported that a woman had been spotted crawling along the side of the road in Wisconsin Rapids. It was stated that the woman was older and was crying and asking for help and a ride but that she did not appear to be injured.
January 11, 2019
Possible stalking
On Jan. 11 at 7:04 a.m. a Wisconsin Rapids man reported that he believes he is being stalked. The man stated that he had previously faxed more information regarding the stalking to the Sheriff’s Department and that he had gotten the information from someone else. He stated that he was unaware that he was being stalked until he was given the information.
An active drug dealer
On Jan. 11 at 9:43 a.m., a Wisconsin Rapids woman reported that she suspects her neighbor is selling drugs. The woman stated that she had seen three people going in and out that morning and that it was not the first time this had happened. The woman also said that she had told her landlord via a note left in their mailbox.
Shoplifter reported
On Jan. 11 at 10 a.m., an employee at a grocery store in Wisconsin Rapids reported that she had caught a shoplifter and was waiting outside with them. The woman did not state who the shoplifter was or what they had taken.
Woman scammed
On Jan. 11 at 12:47 p.m., a woman reported that she had been scammed. The Wisconsin Rapids woman stated that she had provided $300 in two payments and that she would come down to the Police Department later that day to speak with them about it.
Stolen Purse
On Jan. 11 at 2:52 p.m., a Wisconsin Rapids woman reported that her purse had been stolen at Rapids grocery store. The woman stated that whoever had stolen her purse was trying to use the checks and Visa credit card that were in it and that she had contacted her bank to cancel the card.
