Lincoln hockey brings home traveling trophy

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Lincoln High School boys hockey team were tournament champions, when they hosted the Monona Grove, New Richmond, and West Salem Varsity Boys hockey teams in their annual Rhinelander tournament.
The boys took on Monona Grove on Feb. 8 and walked away with a 9-2 win. The win put them in the championship bracket, facing New Richmond on Feb. 9, where they racked up another 9-2 win to take home this year’s championship honors.
The team took home the traveling trophy and Head Coach Pat McDonald kept good on his promise to wear the trophy head if they won.
