Nekoosa School District adjusts schedule to deal with snow days

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Nekoosa School District has made adjustments in response to the unprecedented number of snow days the district has experienced in the 2018-19 school year.

District Administrator Terry Whitmore said that the Nekoosa High School, Alexander Middle School, and Humke Elementary will be a adding an additional seven minutes to the school day beginning March 4.

In addition, the final day of school has been moved from June 7 to June 10.

Graduation will remain on June 2, with the last day of school for seniors on May 31.
