Volunteers needed for Stuff the Bus program

For the Rapids City Times

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Local volunteers are needed for the Stuff the Bus program in Wood and Adams counties, including:

Stuff the Bus Volunteers:  Volunteers are needed to help sort school supplies on Aug. 1 at Lunch by the River from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Volunteers also needed to come early to help set up. Rain location will be at the Centralia Center.

Stuff the Desk Pre-packing and set-up: Volunteers are needed to help set up for Stuff the Desk. Set up is Aug. 16 at Lincoln High School.  School bus will arrive to be unloaded we will sort school supplies and get ready for distribution to the children. Volunteers are needed from 10:15 a.m. – noon.

Stuff the Desk Distribution: Volunteers are needed to help distribute school supplies on Aug. 16, 2:45-4:30 p.m. and 4:15-6 p.m., and Aug. 17, 8:15-10 a.m. and 9:45-11:30 a.m. Volunteers will help hand out pre-bagged supplies as well as help clean up and prepare left over supplies for school distribution/storage.

Adams County Stuff the Bus: Volunteers are needed in Adams County to help sort and distribute school supplies after “Stuff the Bus” picks up donations on Aug. 19 at 9a.m.

School Supply Drives Need in Adams County: Local businesses, churches, and service organizations in Adams County are needed to hold school supply drives from July 22 – Aug. 16. The United Way will drive a bus to each location to pick them up on Aug. 16. School supplies will be distributed to children in need in Adams County on Aug. 20, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
