Lincoln girls swim & dive takes fourth in home invite

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Lincoln girls swim & dive team took fourth place in their home varsity invitational, held at Lincoln High School on Aug. 22.

Local athletes placing in the top 10 were: Girls 1 meter diving: fourth, Morgan Fillmore; fifth, Madisyn Hasenohrl; sixth, Madison Delaney. Girls 200 yard medley relay: third, team – Ellie Rietveld, Josie Staven, Madeline Krzykowski, Jilian Engelbright; tenth, team – Tessa Atwood, Alana Tietz, Paige Stimac, Caitlyn Call. Girls 200 Yard IM: third, Kryzkowski; tenth, Paige Stimac. Girls 50 Yard Freestyle: second, Staven. Girls 100 Yard Butterfly: fifth, Kryzkowski; ninth, Stimac. Girls 500 Yard Freestyle: ninth, Rietveld. Girls 200 Yard Freestyle Relay; sixth, team – Atwood, Jillian Engelbright, America Arts, Greta Plummer; ninth, team – Felker, Delaney, Gracie Duda, Natalie Krakow. Girls 100 Yard Breaststroke: second, Staven. Girls 400 Yard Freestyle Relay: tenth, team – Plummer, Stimac, Delaney, Krakow.

The Waunakee team took first in the event, with a score of 522, while Simley High School had 440 and Fond du Lac had 381. Rapids landed in fourth with 318. Also participating were: Lakeland Union , Menomonie, and Shawano-Bonduel.
