Pittsville girls top Port Edwards

PORT EDWARDS – The Pittsville girls basketball team topped Port Edwards in a Central Wisconsin conference game at Port Edwards High School on Jan. 10.
Pittsville dominated in the first half, leading into the second half at 31-17. Port Edwards played a better second half but it wasn’t enough to come back from Pittsville’s early lead, giving Pittsville the win, 58-42.
Pittsville scoring was led by Julia Redmond, with 23 points, and Bekah Downs, with 10.
Port Edwards’ Taylor Martin topped with 19 points, and Dominique Griffith added 13 more.
Pittsville hosts Northland Lutheran at home on Jan. 14. Port Edwards faces Iola-Scandinavia at home, on Jan. 14.
