Wausau West boys fall to Rapids

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Wisconsin Rapids boys basketball team hosted a Wisconsin Valley Conference game against Wausau West on Jan. 24, where West would suffer another conference loss.
Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln had a demanding lead at the half, 32-17.
Wausau West had a better second half but couldn’t catch Rapids, losing 59-42.
Leading Wausau West for the night was Amillion Bugs with 13 points and Max Helke added nine points.
Wisconsin Rapids was led by Grant Flory, scoring 26 points, and Austin Pelot had 10.
Wausau West will host Merrill at Wausau West High School on Jan. 28 at 7:15 p.m. Wisconsin Rapids will head to Marshfield on Jan. 28; game time is set for 6 p.m.
