Wisconsin Rapids Police Blotter: Feb. 6-11, 2020

February 6, 2019

Vandalism

On Feb. 6 at 4:30 p.m. a Wisconsin Rapids male reported that he repeatedly noticed footprints running up and over his vehicle. In addition, the male noticed on multiple occasions that food would be placed under his windshield wipers in order to attract squirrels, and other cars would park too close in order to block him from entering his vehicle. The incidents occurred while the car was parked on Franklin Street.

Suspicious Activity

On Feb. 6 at 3:13 p.m. a Wisconsin Rapids female reported that the outside faucet of her South 3rd Street residence was running. The complainant voiced concern that somebody may have tampered with it and requested extra patrol for the area.

February 9, 2020

Death threats

On Feb. 9 at 1:57 p.m. a Wisconsin Rapids female reported that her brother had texted her that morning around 1 a.m. claiming that a drug dealer was going to kill him. The female had been unable to contact her brother since.

February 10, 2020

Road rage

On Feb. 10 at 1:41 p.m. a Wisconsin Rapids male reported that a male subject had threatened and spit on him. The complainant stated that the male had then proceeded to tailgate him in his vehicle, raising cause for concern over a possible confrontation.

February 11, 2020

Scam

On Feb. 11 at 10:27 a.m. a Wisconsin Rapids female reported that a scammer had deposited $30,800 into her bank account and wanted her to withdraw it and send it back to them. The complainant stated that the scammers continued to call her and harass her. The woman called her bank and made them aware of what was happening.
