Nekoosa, Port Edwards, and Nekoosa boys basketball seasons come to an end
Nekoosa
Nekoosa traveled to Gale-Ettrick-Trempealau for the first round of regionals on March 3. G-E-T shot well from the field, making it hard for Nekoosa to keep the game close. G-E-T was up 46-23 at half and ended the game on top, 88-46.
Nekoosa lead scorers for the night were Damek Walker with 13 points, Jace Lobner with 11, and Isaiah Dillon with eight.
Port Edwards
Port Edwards faced Newman Catholic at home for game one of regionals on March 3 and saw their season come to an end with a loss.
The Blackhawks boys started the game off strong and had a 25-24 lead at the end of the first half. The Newman team came back from the locker room in the second half a new team and outscored the Port Edwards team by 13.
The Cardinals won the game with a score of 62-50.
Assumption
Assumption traveled to Rib Lake on March 3, for game one of their regional. Rib Lake took an early lead and ran away with a 70-48 win over the Royals.
