Letter to the Editor: Former mayor weighs in on election
Dear editor,
As the previous mayor of the City of Wisconsin Rapids, I would like to thank you for the privilege of serving in that capacity from April 2006 to April 2012.
I left after three terms feeling it was time for someone else to lead this great community. And, today, I write to encourage everyone to consider a change in the mayor’s office.
There comes a time when new ideas are necessary for the growth and development of a community. change is how we advance new ways of doing business, especially at the local level.
April 7 is your chance to make that change for the city of Wisconsin Rapids. As a member of this great democracy, it is our right and privilege to cast our vote for our candidate of choice.
My candidate of choice is Shane Blaser. He was the city clerk when I was in the mayor’s office. I found him to be a problem solver, a person who knows Wisconsin Rapids very well, and follows through on everything he says he is going to do.
I ask you to cast your ballot for Shane Blaser for mayor on April 7.
Mary Jo Carson
