For the City Times
WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Central Wisconsin Cultural Center will open to the public on Oct. 27 with two unique events scheduled.
An Oct. 27-Dec. 19 exhibit features local artist Jeanne Weymouth’s exhibit, “Thread, Papers, Paints and Whimsy: A Collection of Imperfect Creatures & Colorful Characters.” During the shutdown, Jeanne Weymouth rolled up her sleeves, gathered up her brushes, needles and the stream of creative ideas dancing in her head. From random stitches to ripped papers, her artwork emerged.
From Nov. 10-Dec. 19, attend the “Holiday Gifts & Art Fair” at the Cultural Center to shop local this season. You will find accessories, candles, artwork, apparel, home decor, jewelry, and more made by local artists.
The Cultural Center recently moved to and renovated the former WoodTrust Bank building at 2651 Eighth South, in Wisconsin Rapids. The Cultural Center is open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. From Nov. 10-Dec. 19, it is also open Saturdays from 10 a.m. – noon.
