Riverkings sweep Northern Colorado Eagles at home

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings claimed a win against the Northern Colorado Eagles, USPHL Mountain Division, to start a weekend sweep at home Dec. 4-5.
The Riverkings had three Friday goals against the Eagles, led by Luke Hartge, with two, and Cole Creger. Nathan Bottles, Jordan Stear, Cole Creger, and Luke Hartge added assist.
Goaltender Riley Allen stopped 30 of 31 shots.
The Riverkings finalized their weekend sweep against the Northern Colorado Eagles for their 11th win in a row, after a 4-2 win Saturday night at South Wood County Recreation Center.
The Riverkings had goals from Reece McDonald, Stear, Bottles, and Sanders Willard. Kyle McNair turned aside 16 shots to secure the win, in a battle of first place teams from their respected divisions.
Next weekend, the Riverkings have a three-game set, starting in the Wisconsin Dells on Dec. 10 at 2 p.m. The team will be returning home for games against the Minnesota Blue Ox on Friday and Saturday. Puck drop will be at 7 p.m. at the South Wood County Recreational Center.
