Young Eagles Day is Aug. 21

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Wisconsin Rapids Chapter No. 706 of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) is offering free airplane rides to kids ages 8-17 on Aug. 21, 9 a.m. – noon, at the South Wood County Airport in Wisconsin Rapids.
The program, called Young Eagles Day, is a community service to educate youth about airplanes and aviation careers. Kids will receive a 20-minute airplane ride around the local area.
Due to the limited number of seats, pre-registration is required online at www.youngeaglesday.com.
A parent or legal guardian must be present with the child to sign a release form on the day of the event.
