Grace Players present “Every Little Crook and Nanny”
FOR CITY TIMES
WISCONSIN RAPIDS — If you’re looking for a fun-filled evening full of laughter you won’t want to miss this lovely story with all its crazy characters, written by Pat Cook.
This story takes place in a boarding house run by a sweet and soft-hearted retired nanny, Lillie, and her supersized cat. She and her friends, Jocelyn and Carmela and her one boarder, Teddy, and his fiancé, Betty, appear to be enjoying a happy and comfortable life right up until an old charge of hers rents a room where he and his wisecracking sidekick finalize their plans to rob the bank on the corner. Throw into the mix a Chief of Police, a suspicious fiancé and a half-pint brat with “an Al Capone do-it-yourself-kit” who can and will get into anything and nobody knows what will happen next. In the spirit of Frank Capra, this tale of a bank heist and three retired nannies has all the classic comedy twists and surprises fit for any audience.
This production will take place at Grace Lutheran Church, 1531 Whitrock Ave, Wisconsin Rapids March 9-11 at 6:30 p.m. and March 12 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $12 dollars and can be purchased by calling 715-423-2330.
