Parolee apprehended again on multiple charges

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – A Wisconsin Rapids man is back behind bars after waving a gun at another motorist and trying to elude police.
New charges against Dane A. Bieniek, 29, stem from a Jan. 6 incident in which he allegedly displayed a firearm at another motorist. Wisconsin Rapids police received the report shortly before 8 a.m.
Officers were able to locate the suspect vehicle and attempted a traffic stop. Bieniek fled and officers initiated a pursuit. During the pursuit, the suspect vehicle was disabled and the pursuit ended with the suspect vehicle crashing into a residence. Bieniek exited the vehicle and fled on foot. Officers were able to detain him after a brief foot pursuit and a firearm was recovered.
Bieniek is out on parole for a felony charge of Vehicle Operator Fleeing/Eluding Officers. Bieniek was booked into the Wood County Jail with the following charges: First-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety-Repeater; Second-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety-Repeater; Vehicle Operator Fleeing/Eluding Officers-Repeater; Possession of Firearm as a Convicted Felon; Resisting an Officer; Operating Vehicle While Revoked; Failure to Install Ignition Interlock Device.
