McDonald signs with Riverkings

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Reece McDonald has signed with the Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings for the 2019-20 hockey season.
McDonald comes to Wisconsin Rapids from the Sioux City Metros.
Coach Quarters spoke on Reece’s physicality saying, “We are excited to welcome Reece to the Riverkings, and we feel our staff has found a diamond in the rough. Reece plays the game the right way and mirrors our veteran Cole Creger whose style of play is fast, hard, and physical. Reece plays the game with skill and an edge which can come as a surprise as he is not very big, but he plays big and isn’t afraid to play in the tough areas.
“One of the things that really stood out in his game was all the little things he does, from blocking shot to back checking. Plus, he is a great teammate with a positive outlook on life. Reece is one of handful of recruits that was a captain of team and being from Sioux City he fits our hard-working, blue collar mentality.”
