November 11
Woman reports erratic driver
At 9:28 a.m., a 52-year-old Wisconsin Rapids woman called to report that she was being followed on the highway by a car going 100 mph and that the man, whom she knows, driving the vehicle had already rear ended her. The police were able to locate the 57-year-old man and charges are pending.
Harassing phone calls
At 6:36 p.m., an employee at a medical facility called to report that a man from Tennessee called stating he was a family member of a patient. Police spoke with the man who gave a different name to police. The man agreed not to call back anymore.
Beaten man calls 911
At 9:50 p.m., a call came in to 911 and the dispatcher could hear background noise that sounded like a person in distress. Police arrived to check out the call and found a man inside who had been beaten. The man was taken by ambulance and police attempted to locate the men who had assaulted him.
November 12
Tenant out of control
At 7:51 p.m., a couple of calls came in regarding a man standing outside an apartment building near some dumpsters screaming and yelling obscenities. One of the callers reported that he may have even punched a dumpster. Police arrived and spoke with the man who stated he was fine and just cleaning out his apartment.
November 14
Strange basement happenings
At 3:30 a.m., a 21-year-old Wisconsin Rapids woman called to report that she felt she was trapped in someone else’s house. She was able to get out of the house and was in her car near the residence. Police arrived and walked back to the residence with her as she believed someone was possibly in the basement yet.
Throwing fits
At 4:45 p.m., a 21-year-old Wisconsin Rapids woman called to report that her grandmother was throwing things at people and that she had being hit by something that she threw. Officers arrived and asked all parties present to act like adults.
November 17
Stealing scrap
At 3:43 p.m., a Wisconsin Rapids man called to report that he had witnessed two men taking scrap metal out the of the bins in the alley near his place of employment. He was able to give police a vehicle description and the officers located the men. They will return items taken and were advised to stay off the property without a permit.
