After going scoreless in two of four quarters, the Lincoln High School Red Raiders’ football team took a 29-19 loss against the Hortonville High School Polar Bears.

The Raiders came out with an early 6-0 lead in the first quarter after a one yard run for touchdown by senior running back Tristan Iverson. An extra point attempt by sophomore kicker Nathan Hepp was unsuccessful.

The Polar Bears responded with three unanswered touchdowns bringing the score to 22-6 at the half.

Raiders’ junior Benjamin Olson scored first in the second half and brought the score to 22-12 after a failed two-point conversion attempt. The Polar Bears responded in kind with their final score of the night bringing the score to 29-12. Olson scored again with a five yard touch down run and an extra point by Hepp brought the score to its final 29-19.

Neither team managed a score in the fourth quarter.

The Raiders’ season record moves to 2-2 while the Polar Bears improve to 3-1.

The Raiders travel to Marshfield to take on the Tigers next Friday. Kickoff is at 7:00 PM.
