For the City Times Staff

In an advisory issued on Feb. 11, the Wood County Dispatch Center stated that people impersonating the IRS are calling residents stating they are going to send officers to their residence.

According to Wood County Dispatch, this is a scam. The IRS will not talk to you, and if you get a call from them, contact Wood County Dispatch. If a message has been left, do not call them back and never give out your personal information to anyone over the phone.

Law Enforcement is aware of this scam as is the Wood County Dispatch Center. For more information please call 715-421-8700.
