Police & Sheriff Calls for Feb. 27
Not in front of the kids!: At 9:53 a.m. a call was placed from the 200 block of 8th St. South regarding a man who dropped in pants in the presence of children. The children were on a school bus, and the man waited until all the students were on the bus before doing so at the end of his driveway. Extra patrol was called to the area and the incident has been closed.
Bad Influences: At 7:47 p.m. a call was placed from the 2800 block of Boles St. in regards to concern about an 18-year-old family member who was reportedly being given alcohol by friends he was staying with. It was also reported that they were asking for needles and pills from an apartment nearby. The incident has been closed.
Prowler Alert: At 11:15 p.m. a call was placed from the corner of 13th St. N and Chestnut St. regarding a possible prowler driving slowly without their lights on, and another on foot next to the vehicle. A report was made the incident has been closed.
Attempted Burglary: At 11:34 p.m. a call was placed from the 600 block of 10th Ave. N regarding an attempted burglary. The complainant heard knocking on various occasions, and checked to find the screens in the basement moved and pushed in. Extra patrol was requested for the area, and the incident has been closed.
